• Orientation : A long time ago, there was a rich old man living in Vietnam. He had two sons. They had very different attitudes. The older brother was very greedy, but the younger brother was very kind. 

 • Complications 1 : When the old man died, the brother divided. His father’s wealth into two parts. The big brother took almost everything. He gave his younger brother only a small piece of land

  SANGKURIANG  It is said that a pair of gods and goddesses from heaven were punished to come down to earth because of a mistake. The god became a dog named Tumang, while the goddess became a debt pig named Wayungyang. Wayungyang drank the urine of King Sungging Perbangkara who was hunting in the forest. Miraculously, Wayungyang gave birth to a beautiful baby. The king's baby was then brought to the palace and named Dayang Sumbi. Many kings and princes wanted to propose to Dayang Sumbi, but she refused. At his request, he was exiled to the hills accompanied by a dog named Tumang.
